Born in New Zealand for big, beautiful adventures
In 2015 Simon Apperley returned home to New Zealand and was inspired by the pure southern light and epic landscapes.
Simon had a great camera and a growing collection of lenses. But he struggled to find quality filters. In every store he was faced with an intimidating wall of badly packaged, jargon heavy, average glass and expensive filters.
He thought, there has to be a better way.
‘We designed filters with the highest quality materials, tested, tested again and worked on a range that would cover all aspects of photography. Then added the lifetime pro warranty as I’m the one that basically throws my gear in the bag after shooting.’
After launching the brand Okko quickly grew with over 38 stores in New Zealand stocking our products. Then expanding to Australia and the US.
