Tripods

Tripods & Monopods for all types of uses and budgets. Let us help you find the perfect tripod for your needs!

A tripod is a three-legged frame that is used to stabilize a camera. A monopod is a single pole that is used to support a camera. Neither should ever be substituted for the other, and any serious photographer will have both a monopod and a tripod.

Both have benefits in different types of photographic situations. For example, a tripod is best suited to most situations, and most photographers. You will need a tripod when you need to keep the camera exceptionally still..

A Monopod is much more lightweight (but lacks the full stability); and is handy for sports photography or travel.

Mini Tripods & Selfie Sticks

The best mini tripods give you all the stability you need, at a fraction of the bulk and the cost.

While larger tripods can support more weight and come with more professional features, a mini tripod can often slip into a pocket or small bag, and will weigh barely a few hundred grams. This can provide users of smaller shooting setups with all sorts of creative advantages.

Travel Tripods

Any tripod is a travel tripod if you are willing to travel with it, but some tripods are designed to fold up into a compact package that, in some cases, can fit into a carry-on bag. They are also designed to be lighter than their full-sized counterparts.

In general, they do not extend to the same heights as full-sized tripods, so get ready to bend over while shooting.

Other than those features, the travel tripod is basically the same as any other three-legged camera support.

Professional Tripods

An excellent tripod lasts a lifetime.

Every photographer must have gone through the phase of getting a cheap tripod and soon realizing that it does not fit their needs.

While cheap tripods can support a DSLR or a mirrorless camera with the kit lens, they can get overwhelmed once you attach a battery grip, flashguns, LED lights, and other accessories.

Tripods for Spotting Scopes

With higher magnifications the slightest vibration can cause image shake resulting in a blurry view, so when using the spotting scope, you’ll need a tripod to make sure you get the clarity and detail. You can also mount your spotting scope on a table, stand or any other platform. But a tripod will definitely allow you to enjoy your scope’s full potential truly.

All of our spotting scopes come with a standard tripod mount, which can be used with nearly any tripod on the market.
