The team at Lucky Film in China have just released this brand new Lucky Color 120mm Film. That’s right, this is a brand new film, made in China by Lucky.
An impressive 200 iso colour film, this new kid on the block features a nice medium grain, similar to something like Kodak Gold, with a warm pallet that renders red tones beautifully.
Daylight balanced, it’s a great option for everyday shooting and provides an interesting alternative to Kodak films.
“The red it presents feels much cleaner and more transparent—among all the films I’ve used, this one renders red the best,” Reflx Lab writes.
“Lucky 200 emphasizes red tones and tends to shift slightly toward red overall. However, in scenes without red, it still performs well across other colors. This aligns with the old saying from decades ago: ‘Kodak is yellow, Fuji green, Lucky red,’”
