It prints rich colours and beautifully smooth tonal gradations in black and white photographs, whilst WiFi, Cloud and Ethernet connectivity, advanced applications, print management and colour enhancement technologies ensure a highly efficient workflow for photographers. has the ability to deliver accurate colour reproduction across a wide colour gamut. When used with Canon media the ChromaLife100+ inks used by the PIXMA PRO-100S give long-lasting, beautiful photographs with a 100-year plus life in an album.

The dye-based inks are absorbed deeper in the paper preserving the natural finish of the media to offer rich, vibrant colours, unrivalled glossiness and fast print speeds. With three monochrome inks, the PRO-100S’s 8-ink system offers richer colours in dark areas and quality monochrome printing with smooth gradation. Each individual colour’s ink tank can be easily replaced to reduce wastage.
FINE PRINT HEADS & OPTIMUM IMAGE GENERATING (OIG) SYSTEM

Canon’s FINE print heads are manufactured using a full-photolithography process. The Optimium Image Generating system analyses the photo colour and precisely calculates the optimum combination of inks and volume of ink droplets, which are then placed on paper by the highly accurate FINE print head. Each microscopic droplet of ink is small as 3 picolitres and can be delivered in a resolution of 4800×2400 dpi, resulting in highly detailed, grain-free prints that almost jump off the page.

With up to 1200ppi image input resolution and 16 bits-per-channel, printing with the PIXMA PRO-100S creates smoother tonal gradations in both colour and monochrome, enabling you to make the most of your images.
